Dell helping to develop Lodz city

Many firms are interested in doing business close to the new Dell factory in Lodz, a city 1 hour of drive from Warsaw.

Aproximetely half of the companies are from abroad, which haven't done any business in the region yet. Next week Dell is going to choose 2 main suppliers for the factory. Dell will also organize a selection procedure for services suppliers.

Sean Corkery, vice-presidend of profuction of Dell for Europe, Near East and Africa, expects their suppliers to invest some PLN 200 mil (EUR 51.3 mil) in the region.

Marek Michalik, vice-president of Lodz, who is already in negotiations with many firms can only confirm these words.

Dell invests PLN 200 mil (EUR 51.3 mil) in its new factory in Poland. First computers should be leaving the factory in November and some 3.000 employees will find their jobs there.
