Exports in this period went up by 1,8% to EUR 7.4bn y/y, while imports decreased by 2.5% y/y to EUR 96.2bn.
According to GUS's data, exports in USD rose in this period by 4.2% to USD 10.5bn, whereas imports were down by 0.3% to USD 11.5bn. The trade deficit was USD 1.0bn, versus USD 1.5bn a year before.
"A negative balance was noted in trade with developing countries - of minus PLN 5.0bn (minus USD 1.7bn, minus EUR 1.2bn) and countries from Central and Eastern Europe - of minus PLN 1.3bn (minus USD 0.8bn, minus EUR 0.6bn), while trade with developed countries brought a positive balance of PLN 4.3bn (USD 1.5bn, EUR 1.0bn), and with EU countries - PLN 5.2bn ( USD 1.8bn, EUR 1.2bn). The share of developed countries in exports was 85.4% in total (incl. EU countries - 79.5%), in imports - 65.2% ( incl. EU countries - 57.3%)," the GUS announced.
Germany's share in the export was lower than in the same period last year by 0.9pts and amounted to 26.2%, and in imports, it was lower by 0.6pts and amounted to 20.7%.
Amongst main trade Poland's partners, exports' rise was recorded in respect of Spain, Russia, Hungary, Britain, the Czech Republic , France and Germany, while in respect of imports, the rise was observed in the case of the Czech Republic, Russia and Holland.
