Plaza Centers starts building Torun Plaza centre

A joint venture company co-held by Israeli's developer Plaza Centers (Europe) started the construction of shopping and  entertainment centre Torun Plaza, which is worth about PLN 400 mn, the company said in a communique on Thursday.


It is the tenth Polish investment of Plaza Centers. The centre will be completed in Q4/2011. Torun Plaza has a 40 thousand of cubic metres of GLA.

The general contractor is Karmar, Bouygues Batiment International’s subsidiary. Companies worked together on Plaza's former project -  Zgorzelec Plaza’s centre.

Plaza Centers (Europe) BV posted EUR 25.85 mn of consolidated net profit, attributable for main’s unit shareholders in H1/2010 vs. EUR 28.42 mn loss a year earlier. Consolidated revenue amounted to EUR 9.55 mn vs. EUR 7.73 mn a year earlier.
