Public-Private Partnership (PPP) is a form of cooperation between the public sector and private investors which is sanctioned by law. The Agency, joining the movement for the development of Mazovia, has set up its own Public-Private Partnership Department. Its tasks are:
- Promotion of the public-private partnership formula
- Training for local government in the area of partnership
- Acquainting private entities with local government units
- Searching for investments in which the Agency could participate as a partner.
The basis for the realisation of these tasks is direct contact with local government units allowing – for the definition of investment projects - verifying their realisation possibilities, ensuring legal, content-related and procedural services. The PPP department, together with the Training Department, organises training sessions for local government personnel in the area of Public-private partnership and actively supports local government in the search for strategic investors and financing sources on PPP projects.
The Agency for Development of Mazovia PLC has the possibility and wants to involve its capital in investment projects, which are important for the whole region for socio-economic reasons. Such projects can be put forward by business entities, individuals as well as local government institutions.
The Investment Department helps investors and local authorities in:
- Searching for investment projects
- Drafting investment projects both its own and those ordered by the Office of the Marshall of the Mazovian Voivodship
- Supporting the preparation of economic analyses of investment projects
- Preparing and commercialising of investment offers
- Supervising the implementation of an investment project, including help with gaining all kinds of permits, decisions and other necessary documents for the realisation of a project
An important element influencing economic growth has become access to European funds. For many enterprises it is a basic condition for realisation and success of investment projects. The Agency for Development of Mazovia PLC, thanks to its European Fund Department, monitors EU financing sources, advises in their acquisition and verifies and sends applications.
The Board of the Mazovian Voivodship has handed over some of its tasks in the area of implementation and realisation of the strategy for e-Development to The Agency for Development of Mazovia PLC. New technologies allow for an increasingly fast flow of information. Thanks to remote access to institutional resources, relations between investors or other citizens and local government are much easier. One of the aims of the Agency is promotion of e-Development and support for investment in that area.
The ambitious aims and tasks set before The Agency for Development of Mazovia PLC require intensive action and contacts with both current and future investors as well as local government. For partners participating in investment processes, the Training Department prepares and runs training in the area of: Public-Private Partnership, exploiting European funds and investor service. The training run by the Agency serve to enhance the qualifications of local government representatives and personnel.
All actions undertaken by The Agency for Development of Mazovia PLC, run by its dedicated internal departments, are accomplished with great support and help from the Promotion and Marketing Department. It is not only an essential link in the regional activity of the Agency, but also a fundamental channel for information flow in contacts with the authorities and local government as well as the business world and media.
