Rubikon Restaurant, July 2008

Rubikon Restaurant, July 2008

Those with passion for gourmet food, looking for a refined taste and elegant but relaxing atmosphere, cannot miss Rubikon restaurant on their list of ‘must to visit’ places. Located in a stylish villa dated back to the 30’s of the last century, the restaurant offers spacious interior with a cozy wine bar and large, summer garden – ideal to have late dinner in hot summer days.

Menu inspired by Italian cuisine, offers variety of starters ranging from beef and salmon carpaccio on rucola leaves to more sophisticated veal in tunafish sauce or oyster mushroom in balsamic and garlic sauce.

For a main course one can pick from a quite impressive variety of sea food and few kinds of meet and steaks, including some selection of venison, but all prepared in a way to surprise with the end result of taste and serving. Rubikon is also famous for its home-made pastas and for those feeling to try one - ink tagliolini with shrimps is a ‘must to try’ choice.

To finish up this gourmet meal we hardly recommend tirramisu on English cream which is just a cream of the corp to complete this feast of tastes with something light and gentle .

The selection of wines is a pride and joy of the owners. It impresses with a variety of wines of local, Italian vineyards  that one cannot find in any other place in Warsaw. The wine list is continuously expanded by some new extraordinary wines which are discovered by the owners, on their regular lookout for new tastes of Italy.

The restaurant offers also catering as well as organization of banquets, business meetings or any other events and it has been awarded by Michelin Red Guide.
