Accademia Italiana della Cucina is an Italian cultural association founded by Orio Vergani in 1953 in Milan. On 18 August 2003, it was awarded the cultural institution of the Republic of Italy. The association aims to protect Italian gastronomy traditions. It was the first one, among the Italian associations, to strengthen the culinary achievements of Italy and its regions.

Sophisticated Italian dishes and culinary novelties are prepared by our Italian Master Chef Pasquale. We serve traditional Italian cuisine in its best quality. Our Chef recommends: Lamb sirloins in gorgonzola cheese sauce served with potatoes and vegetables, Original Italian specialty from Tuscany – Fish soup with fresh sea fruit or Dorada steak baked under crispy duvet purée with Italian herbs. We use fresh Italian products only and we assure you of feast of tastes of the highest class.
Wine & Alcohol
We have over 700 kinds of wines in our wine cellar. Famous Italian vineyards will let you taste Italian Sun and beauty. There is hardly an inch of Italy that couldn't ripen grapes suitable for wine, and consequently there are a myriad of classified regions producing a diverse array of wines, some of which are rarely seen outside of Italy. It's impossible to generalise with regard to vintages for Italian wine, as we are dealing with such a huge country. Vintage conditions differ for each Italian wine region. Good vintages for Barolo and Barbaresco include 1985, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1993, and most years of the late 1990s. With regard to Chianti, again many vintages of the late 1990s have been successful, with 1997 the most lauded. We have selected the best brands for you to strengthen your pleasure and taste of served meals.
Apart from wine we have also a great selection of premium brands of strong alcohol.
Seafood
Our seafood is coming from the best parts of the Mediterranean sea just to become a delicious meals prepared by our Italian Chef Pasquale. Even the most sophisticated guest will enjoy these tastes. Shrimps, mussles and fish - all in our restaurant. Balgera is the best place for seafood lovers.

Caffé Balgera 
Warm atmosphere, friendly and helpful waitres, Italian products. From 8AM (on Sunday from 10AM) you can already feel waking smell of Italian coffee, which you can enjoy with great Italian sweets & cakes prepared by our Italian confectioner. During the day we serve light and delicious meals from Italy. You can order salads, lasagne, ravioli, soups and other Italian meals. As well we will be glad to please you with good wines and coctails.

We are confident to organize any catering events in ours as well as in yours premises and also in gardens. In Balgera we comfortably host 100 guests for seat order and 150-200 guests for buffets. Balgera has 3 separate rooms what allows you to have your business meeting or press breakfast in a private and discreet atmosphere.
