"POLKA" Restaurant initiates Magda Gessler’s - famous Polish restaurateur - new idea „SIMPLY”. This is a concept of Polish noble dining, which shows that Polish cuisine is a refined collection of diverse cultural impacts, but here the version is “light”. It is tasty, colorfully, with no tablecloth and with a heart of traditional Polish hospitality.
POLKA is located at the Castle Square in The Old Town of Warsaw. It has seven different rooms that vary in colors and design. POLKA is a beautiful restaurant with interiors inspired by the architecture of Renaissance tenements, where everyone can find something special from Polish cuisine.
POLKA Restaurant is unpretentious, tasty and affordable. The ceremonial opening of the restaurant took place on 16th of April 2008.
Menu
Inspired menu offers Polish specialties using the freshest seasonal products. Dishes are served on wooden tables without table cloth in a simple & colorful way.
POLKA’s guests can choose meals from oven such as: Black pudding all around served with apple & mustard or Male pork knuckle served on cabbage. Vegetarians will have a chance to taste such dishes as pancakes with ‘pascha’ (sweet Easter dish made of cheese and dried fruits) or Mazurek (shortcrust tart) with sheep cheese, Polish fruits and nuts.
As for dessert, the restaurant offers delicious home-made apple pie, Polish cheesecake and other sweetnesses that take us back to the old times of family Sunday dinners.
